Hydrozicite LW fluorescence bright yellow

I recently acquired a specimen of hydrozicite from the Ojeula mine, Mapimi, Mexico. Fluorescence under short wave is bright blue-white as I expected. However, the specimen also has a fairly bright yellow fluorescence under long wave UV. This was new to me. Is this bright yellow fluorescence the norm for Ojeula mine hydrozincite? I have attached white light and long wave UV pictures. LW pic was taken with the Convoy S2+, but the fluorescent response is just as bright under 18 watt tube generated LW UV. Sorry for the blue lint in fl pic. Thanks, Tom

Re: Hydrozicite LW fluorescence bright yellow

Asking for HELP. What is causing the yellow fluorescence under long wave UV on this hydrozincite specimen? Am I incorrect in thinking that hydrozincite "mostly" does NOT fluoresce under long wave? Thanks for any thoughts or info.

Re: Hydrozicite LW fluorescence bright yellow

I do not know the answer to your question, but I also have a specimen of hydrozincite that does this. Bought it from Don Newsome. It is odd, but without an analysis, I would be guessing.
